Northern Trust has named Alison Pain as its chief technology officer (CTO) for the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) region.
From her London base, Pain will focus on providing leadership and guidance to the planning, organisation, direction and control of the enterprise technology business unit across the EMEA region. She reports to chief information officer Tom South, locally reporting to EMEA president Teresa Parker.
Prior to joining, Pain served as managing director at Deutsche Bank, and before that spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs, leading infrastructure service and application development functions in EMEA and globally.
